The Riverview Banquet Facility is owned by the Bloomsbury Hose Company, the hall is financed and maintained by members of the volunteer fire company. Your event, however, will be coordinated by you. the customer, with the cooperation of a catering staff. We are a not-for-profit organization. All funds paid to the Riverview Banquet Facility for use of the facility are used for the overhead including maintenance and improvements to the facility.     GET IN TOUCH What if you called in to report a fire and no one answered the call? Do you want to be involved with your community? Do you want to help your neighbors in the most rewarding way possible? Did you know that Bloomsbury Hose Company is 100% volunteer? Support our local volunteers—become a volunteer. Cadet members, between the ages of 16-18, are encouraged to get to know the system of volunteer fire fighting. Anyone over the age of 18 is welcome to be an active firefighter, associate or social member. Training is free of charge. If firefighting is not for you, you can still be a part of Bloomsbury Hose Company. We invite you to volunteer with community fundraising, building maintenance and many other activities. For additional information, we invite you to join us at the firehouse on the second Monday of each month at 7:30pm, or complete the form below and we will be in touch.     Fund Drive Dear Neighbor, The Bloomsbury Volunteer Hose Company has been serving the residents of Bloomsbury, Alexandria and Bethlehem Townships community protecting life and property since 1905. Your local firefighters are your neighbors who volunteer their time to serve the community. We respond to your calls for assistance 24 hours a day, 365 days a year in any weather, at any time of the day or night. We are here to provide fire protection and other emergency services to the local citizens and traffic along Interstate Route 78. Our calls have included structure fires, vehicle fires, chimney fires, fire alarms, carbon monoxide alarms, vehicle extractions, rescue calls and searches as well as assist Pattenburg Rescue Squad when needed. We have also responded to many calls related to severe storms in our area this year. Although our volunteers’ services are FREE, your generous donation helps to maintain the station, fire apparatus and the emergency equipment we use to protect you! A small donation of $50 goes a long way, but be as generous as these tough economic times allow. Please send your contribution in the enclosed envelope now. Your donations really do make a difference. Help us continue the American tradition of protecting our area through volunteerism. The Bloomsbury Hose Company's budget operates on your continued support of our fundraisers. Some of the ways in which you can support us are: Our annual fund drive Our semi-annual 50/50 raffle Rental of the hall Our donation link Various other fundraisers held throughout the year All of the money we raise during these fundraisers is used to provide our members with new protective gear and training to make needed updates and repairs on the building. Rest assured that should you ever be alerted by the sound of a fire alarm, with your home or business quickly filling with smoke and/or heat, we will answer “the call” and make whatever sacrifices are necessary to protect your most valuable assets.   • APPARATUS | Bloomsbury Hose Company

    Apparatus Our fleet consists of six different vehicles that all serve unique purposes on the fireground. Part of what makes our apparatus unique to many other departments in Hunterdon County is that vehicles must be custom designed and custom ordered. Due to our low bays, nearly all trucks need to be custom designed to fit into our tight quarters. Brush 43 Featuring a 7.3L Powerstroke Diesel engine, our brush truck is capable of conquering any task it may be assigned to. With an onboard tank with 350 gallons of water, it is perfect for any terrain that a typical engine cannot reach. Read More Car 43 Acquired from Pattenburg Fire Company, this unit is utilized by the chief to take command at incidents. It is equipped with communication devices as well as basic firefighting tools if it is first on scene. Read More Engine 43-1 Engine 43-1 is a 2001 Spartan/S&S Pumper. Equipped with a Waterous 1500 gallon-per-minute pump, it also has 1000 gallons of water on board. This truck was a replacement for our 1974 Mack CF 700. Read More Engine 43-2 Engine 43-2 is a 2011 Pierce PUC Read More Tender 43 Tender 43 is a 1981/97 Mack MC/S&S Tanker. It carries 1907 gallons of water and can be pumped at 500 gallons per minute with the onboard Waterous pump. Read More Utility 43 Utility 43 is a 1997 GMC Suburban 2500 that was previously used as a command vehicle. It has since been converted to a Utility truck that can assist in road closures or for members to take to training classes. Read More
